UGEC Age-Friendly Care: Fundamentals of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI)

This course provides a foundation on developing a performance improvement project (PIP). The course is designed to enhance LTSS professionals' knowledge on the purpose and significance of QAPI plans, and covers the five elements of a successful QAPI within skilled nursing facilities and home health and hospice organizations. The course provides step-by-step instructions on starting a quality improvement project, including developing a project charter and identifying the project team. Also, this course includes a companion worksheet, or Project Charter, on which you can document aspects of a PIP that you would like to conduct at your organization.
