Full course description
This course focuses on aging as a normal developmental process, along with assessment of the older adult, paying particular attention to geriatric syndromes that often negatively impact this population. Key recommendations and evidence-based practice from the Hartford Institute of Geriatric Nursing are embedded throughout the courses. This course also includes an overview of the Institute for Health Improvement (IHI) Age-Friendly Systems, and the 4Ms: the framework used in providing care for older adults.
