LIVE SESSION: Monday, November 3, 2025 @12:00pm - 1:00pm, Zoom.
Class Description: Provide overview of OpenSpecimen (OS) - a powerful biobanking informatics platform subsidized by the CTSI for use at no cost which assists researchers in the organization, management and reporting of biospecimens. OS allows research teams to collect parent samples, track processed derivates and aliquots and then store them in freezers or distribute/ship - complete with audit trails. Its power lies in the reporting functionality that allows the researcher to query and filter data using any field recorded during data entry. Learn how to manage OpenSpecimen protocols/projects with participant data and specimen data.

Class Duration: Total duration for synchronous classes are approximately 2 hours. Those two (2) hours will be broken down into:
- A live session which will take approximately 1 hour (45-minute presentation and 15-minute Q&A) and;
- Pre and Post-work activities which will take approximately 1 hour, in total.
