Full course description

Participants will understand the basic process framework used to manage and administer sponsored activity at the University. Topics such as submitting proposals, grant and contract accountability, and accounts management will help participants understand how sponsored research is managed at the University and why systems of oversight and controls are necessary. Additional materials will be provided for future reference to support the participant's working knowledge of Federal regulations.

At the conclusion of this class, you should be able to:
  • Define what a sponsored project is
  • Identify what the Office of Sponsored Projects offers and how it can help you
  • List and summarize the processes used to manage and administer sponsored activity at the University
  • Summarize what the OSP expects from you in order to help you succeed
