LIVE SESSION: Wednesday, November 17, 2021 @2:00pm - 3:00pm, Zoom

REd Best Practice Networks are 1 hour in length with a 15-minute presentation and a 45-minute discussion that are led by subject matter experts. Participants are expected to come prepared with any questions that they may have and to engage in a conversation with the facilitator and their peers.

Class Description: Students and post-doctoral scholars are often in the position of being mentored while simultaneously developing their own mentoring skills and sensibilities. This discussion—co-facilitated by a graduate student and a faculty member—will introduce topics including the rights and responsibilities of mentees and mentors, promoting access and equity in mentoring relationships, and resources for mentors and mentees. A brief presentation will be followed by group discussion. Participants are encouraged to bring questions and concerns for discussion.

Class Duration: This training will take approximately 1 hour (15-minute presentation and 45-minute Q&A).
