Douglas Wawrzynski, J.D., Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP), will discuss utilizing start-up agreements to ensure upfront departmental costs and non-refundable fees are paid by a sponsor in the event a study site is not ultimately activated. Participants will better understand how to evaluate the risk of expending funds on a study before the Clinical Trial Agreement is signed, and how to develop a process for including the startup agreement in early interactions between the study team and the sponsor.
