Full course description

This is the REd Online (ASYNCHRONOUS) Class.

Class Description: ClinicalTrials.gov is a registry of federally-funded and privately-supported clinical trials that are conducted around the world. This registry provides information about a study’s purpose, inclusion/exclusion criteria, locations, contact information, results, and adverse events experiences by study participants.

You will be taken through three sections during this class:

  1. Protocol Registration and Results Summary Disclosure in ClinicalTrials.gov from the CITI Program (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative): This is an online training program that will provide you with the background, federal policy, and requirements for registration of studies in ClinicalTrials.gov. You will be asked to submit your Completion Certificate once these modules are completed.
  2. Institutional Policy: Once you have learned the federal policy and requirements through CITI, we will review the local policy, requirements, and non-compliance actions at the University of Utah. You will be required to answer quiz questions with 80% accuracy after completing this portion of the module.
  3. References and Tools: This section will provide you with the tools and resources that can help you navigate the ClinicalTrials.gov requirements at the University of Utah. You will be required to answer quiz questions with 80% accuracy after completing this portion of the module
