This is a REd Asynchronous (online/self-paced) class.
Class Description: In the world of clinical research, a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and effective execution of research studies and clinical trials. Coordinators are the crucial link that binds together all stakeholders, from investigators to study staff and most importantly, study participants.” At its core, a CRC ensures strict adherence to rules, ethical standards, and legal requirements. They oversee day-to-day study operations, ensuring that everything proceeds according to the established plan. This class is a basic overview of the role, resources and tool available across campus.
Class Objectives:
At the conclusion of this unit, you should be able to:
- Understand core clinical research concepts.
- How those concepts relate to clinical research and to clinical research at the University of Utah.
