Live Session: 10/14/2025, 11:00 AM-12:00 PM, Zoom. 

Class Description: Please join us for a presentation by the Resource for Genetic and Epidemiologic Research (RGE) on requirements to access the Utah Population Database (UPDB). We will review available data sources, best security practices for data storage and analysis, and navigation of IRB and RGE applications in ERICA.

Class Duration: Total duration for synchronous classes are approximately 2 hours. Those two (2) hours will be broken down into:

  • A live session which will take approximately 1 hour (45-minute presentation and 15-minute Q&A) and;
  • Pre and Post-work activities which will take approximately 1 hour, in total.

REd Synchronous classes are taught by subject matter experts, and provide both fundamental and advanced skills training in flipped classroom format. These classes are offered live (currently, via Zoom), wherein participants will attend and participate in a 1-hour presentation and will be held responsible for completing any required pre-class and/or post-class activities outside the classroom (these activities can include: readings, videos, etc.). Participants can expect to spend up to 1-hour with these activities. The total duration for these synchronous classes is approximately 2-hours.
