Class Description: The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs are America's Seed Fund. These highly competitive federal programs fund research and development of innovative technology with the potential for commercialization. This course will examine the process of applying for non-dilutive funding opportunities through the SBIR and STTR programs.

The course is instructed by staff of the Utah Innovation Center, which has helped Utah companies win nearly $50M in SBIR and STTR funding and has a win rate almost twice the national average.

If you are thinking about starting a small business, or are already incorporated, or perhaps even working on SBIR/STTR proposals, there will be valuable information for you.
