This is a REd Asynchronous (online/self-paced) Class.
Class Description: The ERICA Report Form application is used to submit problems, events, or information to the IRB for review. In this class, you will learn what types of issues or information should be reported to the IRB and in what timeframe. We will also discuss the regulations that govern why the IRB requires certain items reported. The instructor will walk through an example of how to fill out a report form application in ERICA and will describe what type of review the report form will undergo at the IRB once it is submitted.
Class Objectives: At the conclusion of this class, you should be able to:
- Review the IRB reporting policy and discuss when information and/or events should be reported to the IRB
- Discuss the different types of report forms, including adverse events, unanticipated problems, information, and deviations
- Demonstrate the report form application in ERICA, including smart form pathways
- Identify tips and tricks for avoiding common reporting mistakes and application errors
- Show the report form IRB review process and possible outcomes
